CENTER OF EXCELLENCE IN VLSI DESIGN
The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering was established in the year 1980 with an intake of 35 students and the number was subsequently raised to 240 students over the last four decades. The department is presently offering 4-year B. Tech program in ECE, 2-year M.Tech program in Communication Systems besides the Ph.D. program. The department was accredited by NBA four times consecutively. It was recognized as a research center by AU, Visakhapatnam and JNTU, Kakinada. The department has student chapters of professional bodies such as IETE and the college level ISTE. These bodies regularly conduct various technical events for students. Motivated by the recent national and international thrust on research, the department has begun to consider research seriously.
